WHAT OUR VOLUNTEERS SAY
CHLOE, STUDENT
EBAY ASSISTANT
"I wanted to volunteer for Helping Angels CA as I fell in love with the charity and their values. I began volunteering during the pandemic and it massively improved my own mental health. It is very fulfilling to know that whilst improving myself, I am also helping people who need it most. I have also gained many valuable skills whilst volunteering here and it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Everyone at the charity is supportive and very helpful - it is nice to know my time is being used to help improve the lives of others thanks to Helping Angels CA!"
"I enjoy volunteering at Helping Angels Charitable Association for many reasons, but the main reasons are because it gets me out of the house and gives me a purpose in life! I like the company of the people I work with and it is a great privilege to be able to help people who are less fortunate than myself. There are some real characters at the community social groups and we have many laughs together!"
"I was looking for a volunteering role during lockdown and came across the Telephone Befriending service, offered by Helping Angels Charitable Association. I was aware of their wonderful work , as one of my nephews regularly attends their activities and I was keen to get involved. I have found volunteering incredibly rewarding and can now appreciate how regular telephone contact can make a huge difference to the quality of life of both the service user and the volunteer!"
